Movement Vitality

In the post-Dobbs era, the movement for bodily autonomy in Louisiana must do more than just survive the legal, ethical, and funding crisis.

We Strive to Ensure the Movement Thrives

We remain grounded in our shared values, invest in future leaders, and commit to integrating practices for liberatory wellness. Our vision extends beyond simply returning to Roe; we are radically envisioning a world free from all attacks on bodily autonomy, because we acknowledge that Roe was never enough.

We are actively working towards this vision through several ongoing projects. The first is the Legacy Trust, our flagship leadership liberation and mentorship program. Emerging leaders from across the state participate in a six-month program, gaining the skills necessary to establish or serve in organizations focused on reproductive and sexual health, justice, and advocacy. Upon completion, each new leader commits to two years of service on the board or executive committee of LCRF or a member organization.

We've also launched The Hub, a dynamic members-only website providing resources and benefits. It features databases of vetted vendors and values-aligned organizations across the state, access to pro bono legal and nonprofit consulting, messaging guidance, templates, toolkits, and more. We continually expand The Hub's resources.

Our commitment to movement vitality also includes a technical assistance program. Members can schedule one-on-one assistance with organizational visioning, resource brainstorming, Grantstation guidance, communications assistance, and nonprofit legal compliance roadmapping.

Finally, we're thrilled to offer members free or reduced access to professional coaching for healing justice and liberation. We recognize that investing in members' overall well-being is an act of resistance, and we are deeply committed to their joy.
