Lift Louisiana (Lift)
Formed in 2016, Lift Louisiana’s mission is to educate, advocate, and litigate for policy changes needed to improve the health and wellbeing of Louisiana's women, their families, and their communities. Lift staff facilitates the coalition’s legislative strategy discussions and provides policy analysis and messaging to the members. Lift is serving as a fiscal agent for the coalition.
Louisiana National Organization of Women (NOW)
NOW is the largest organization of feminist grassroots activists in the United States. NOW activists use both traditional and nontraditional means to push for social change. The Louisiana Chapter of NOW provides logistical and administrative support to the coalition by planning meetings, rallies, and other events, tracking legislation, and providing testimony at public hearings.
Louisiana Abortion Fund (LAAF)
LAAF was founded as the New Orleans Abortion Fund in 2012 to provide financial assistance to folks seeking an abortion. Since then, we've focused on educating the public and state legislature about the importance of abortion access, funding abortions across Louisiana and the Gulf South, and defending access through our clinic escort program in New Orleans. Working with local medical providers, we provide compassionate and empowering assistance to patients seeking abortions who are unable to fully fund their abortions and distribute pledges as available. NOAF affirms a person's right to bodily autonomy, self-determination, and moral agency--because without access there is no choice.
Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast (PPGC)
PPGC has two (2) healthcare centers in Louisiana, in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. In addition to the health center staff, the Louisiana staff includes an external relations director, organizers, health educators, and communications personnel.
Reproductive Justice Action Collective (ReJAC)
The Reproductive Justice Action Collective (ReJAC) is a New Orleans network that aims to share information, resources, ideas, and human power to create and implement projects in our community that operate within the reproductive justice framework.
Women with a Vision (WWAV)
WWAV is a community-based non-profit, founded in 1989 by a grassroots collective of Black women in response to the spread of HIV/AIDS in communities of color. Today their major areas of focus include Sex Worker Rights, Drug Policy Reform, HIV Positive Women’s Advocacy, and Reproductive Justice outreach.
